Speciesism, by short definition, means when humans strongly believe they are superior than animals, or that animals are inferior to humans. Animals are like us, just different. But that difference means everything to use any method in the world to exploit them, while their voices and hearts hurt. The only difference is your preception. How far must we go to say just because an animal has fur instead of skin, because they have claws instead of nails, because they have large teeth and we have small one, does that mean their lives as a whole, does not define as precious beings? We have to act fast! Between 200 and 2,000 extinctions occur every year and it's happening at a rapid rate.
Put yourself in this perspective: You are a mother cow that just gave birth to your son. Shortly after your son's arrival, he was taken away from you and was placed in a filthy truck filled with other baby cows that are just like him, seperated from their mothers, off to be slaughtered. You are left behind to milk for human consumption. Unfortnately, the whole miserable process starts over and over and over again, baby after baby is taken away, how much more pain can you with stand? Cows, pigs, chickens, and other livestock get seperated from their families and are kept in hostile enviorments. Workers violently smash chickens aganist walls to kill them. In addition, male chicks get grinded up alive in front of their mothers. Lambs gets punched, kicked, and stomped on for their wool. These poor animals have to deal with this mistreatment because they are ignored. We have to be their voice. Be the voice for the voiceless.
